ABOUT BHRIKUTI

Welcome to the Lions Club of Kathmandu Bhrikuti web site. Lions Clubs International is a volunteer organization dedicated to leadership development through community service. Lions are an international network of 1.4 million men and women in 207 countries who work together to address the needs that challenge communities around the world. They are known for working to end preventable blindness. Lions participate in a vast variety of projects important to their communities. These projects range from  distributing scholarship, providing supplies to victims of natural disasters. We are 35 women members in our club now and our permanent project now is Lions Women Income Generation Project.

Lions clubs are neither religious, political nor organized for business purposes. The clubs exist so that members may pool their skills, talents and resources for the betterment of the community.

INCOME GENERATION PROJECT

This project is specially designed for those women who are poor, vulnerable, conflict affected and widows that have forcefully migrated to Kathmandu in search of their basic needs.  The targeted women of this project are unable to fulfill the education of their children because of their low income level.
